I had a random surf accident over the weekend that left me with a deep gash in my shin. Dr. Runte was able to see me as soon as possible and stitch me up no problem. It was the first time I needed stitches so I was a bit nervous but him and his office made me feel extremely comfortable and welcomed.
Dr. Runte was incredibly easy to work worth and very helpful! I called him in a pinch as my girlfriend got hurt, he was able to calm her mind and take care of her within the day. Thank you!

Dr. Runte performed surgery on my toe for a tailor bunion. The procedure went perfectly. Subsequent follow up appointments were productive, informative and I really appreciate Dr. Runte's ability to speak plainly and sincerly about the process.

Walking several miles per week was causing tender feet, some loss of sensation, and problems with balance. I visited another podiatrist with little benefit so I tried Foothill Podiatry. Dr. Runte quickly analyzed the problem and built an orthotic correction on the spot. After a month of using it, my balance has returned and I walk without pain.

Dr. Kunte and his staff are great! They are attentive and answer questions thoroughly. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes, if that, in the waiting room. Dr. Kunte knows his stuff and is good at explaining and imparting information. He solved a foot problem that has plagued me for many years and I will be back if I have any other foot problems!

Best podiatrist in the greater Sacramento area, including Placer and Nevada County. About 20 years ago I was suffering from nagging pain in the back of my knee. Multiple doctors could not figure out what the problem was. One of them even casted my leg saying that my tendons were torn. Wrong! I was advised to seek counsel with Dr. Runte and I'm glad I did. He made me custom orthotics which fit like a glove and cured my knee pain. To this day, the pain has not returned. I wear my orthotics religiously and even returned to Dr. Runte for a second pair. What a gem the foothills have in this podiatrist! He is great at what he does, and he is kind, thoughtful, and funny too! I highly recommend Dr. Runte!
I went to visit Dr. Ken when I could hardly walk. I had over exercised from golf and line dancing and damaged the balls of my feet. He made a set of orthotics with strict instructions of foot care. I’m as good as new! Now, if Doc could just improve my golf game and dancing skills as well as my tootsies, I’d be a happy camper.
I had pain on the balls of my feet and in my toes. Dr. Runte did a thorough exam and put some pads on the soles of my shoes and the pain went away. I am very happy with his clinic and his approach to foot care. I definitely recommend him to my family and friends.
Dr. Runte and his staff were great to work with. He noticed as I walked into his office what my foot problem was. He recommended surgery that would correct the problem and it was successful! He clearly outlined the recovery process and the information was exactly as predicted.

I recently had a rather poor experience with another podiatry office (out of town). I decided to call Foothill Podiatry and I am so glad I did. What an awesome office! The office staff was so friendly and got me right in. Dr. Rivera spent time listening to my concerns, then thoroughly explained my options, answered all of my questions. My x-ray was done right there in the office! Once surgery was decided upon, they explained every step (pun intended) of the process, what to expect, giving me ample time to address any concerns I had. Peggy was so friendly and helpful as well. My 4 year old son broke his foot (jumping off our coffee table of all things) and I was so worried about how it would heal. I wanted him to have the best treatment possible, and I didn't want to mess with seeing his pediatrician, being sent out to get x-rays, then being transferred to a doctor that could care for him- so I took him directly to Foothill Podiatry. I had broken my ankle a few years ago and knew Foothill Podiatry to be highly trained, skilled, professional and caring. All in one visit, they assessed, x-rayed, and casted my son's foot. The Doctors and nurses were so kind and understanding and made my son feel so secure. In fact, he enjoyed his appointment! His foot has healed perfectly (and so has my ankle!). Dr. Runte and his staff have raised the bar on patient care. From the first phone call I was treated with respect and concern for a severe ankle injury. The Office staff were able to get me in the same day as the referral form my PCP.
Dr. Runte interpreted the MRI findings and showed me what was injured in a way that I could easily understand and gave me a clear plan of actions.

Dr. Runte, and Dr. Cook are wonderful. Dr Cook, and Dr. Runte performed a surgery he wanted to try before ultimately fusing my ankle as 3 surgeons before him suggested. My ankle looks amazing. No fusion. He fully explains the pros and cons. Excellent bedside manner. He takes the time to alleviate any concerns. I'm not able to walk on my foot just yet, but I can already tell he did a fantastic job. I appreciate him exhausting all possibilities before having to do something I really didn't want to do.
